Brian is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Having been raised in a farming community in the southern part of the Rift Valley and being a farmer himself, he has always been passionate about agriculture and agricultural processes. Brian believes that if agriculture integrates technology (big data, artificial intelligence and connectivity), it will be revolutionized in many ways. With a Bachelor of Science in Informatics degree from Rongo University, Brian is skilled in designing, developing and testing software, databases and websites. Having completed the Google Africa Scholarship Mobile Web Specialist Course, he has a thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms and has knowledge of back-end development practices together with hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
Brian’s dream is to help smallholder farmers improve their livelihoods using accessible technology. In the long term, he wishes to contribute to the efforts aimed at reducing post-harvest losses, educating farmers and improving access to market. He hopes to enrol for a Master’s degree in Systems Management and Information Technology.
