CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
“From my training at Sireet CoE I learned you do not need to have a large piece of land to have farm innovations”
Profile
Sireet was formed in 2004 by small scale tea producers from the tea estates in Nandi Hills. Its factory is fully owned by its members and produces around 3.5million kgs of tea a year.
Owing to the fluctuations in tea prices Sireet OEP in partnership with CPF established centres of excellence in microenterprise development with an overall objective of creating alternative sources of income for smallholder farmers.
